An escape through history

Can Carol is part of an architectural complex heritage-listed by the Barcelona Provincial Council.
Dating back to the 14th century, the estate was part of the former network of hostels along the Camí Ral (the historic Royal Road). Back then, it was known as the Cabriana hostel and comprised two buildings, the smaller one being a forge.


The estate was leased by the Mora family, prominent ennobled landowners from the Anoia region. A written record from 1579 names Francesc Carol as the innkeeper, the origin of the name that has endured to this day.


Nowadays, Can Carol is completely restored and converted into a rural hotel.
It features private gardens, en-suite bedrooms, and independent spaces, displaying an elegant blend of modernity and noble history while offering all the best modern comforts.


Among other highlights, it is worth mentioning its own private chapel, opened in 1946.
